Shopping after long weekends

I went out to do some grocery shopping and took pictures to demonstrate the great prices on meat and other perishables after a long weekend.

Due to the extra day that the grocery store is closed, perishable goods lose a day of being sold and thus on the Tuesday morning after a long weekend, so many 30% off or more stickers get placed on the items that have one to two days left on their best-before stickers.

This is always a great time to stock up on meats and other items that can go into the freezer like fruit from the discount cart. Combine with points offers and you’re really saving!
