Homemade Toilet Cleaning Bombs

The most acutely dangerous cleaning products are corrosive, acidic toilet bowl cleaners. Corrosive chemicals can cause severe burns on eyes, skin and, if ingested, on the throat and esophagus. Ingredients with high acute toxicity like bleach and ammonia, produce fumes that are highly irritating to eyes, nose, throat and lungs, and should not be used by people with asthma or lung or heart problems. Combining products that contain chlorine and ammonia or ammonia and lye pose an added threat because they can react with each other or other chemicals to form lung-damaging gases. Combining these chemicals produces chloramine gases. Chlorine combined with acids (commonly used in toilet bowl cleaners) forms toxic chlorine gas. So here is a way to clean your toilets easily and safely without using any off the harsh chemicals found in store bought toilet cleaners….

Homemade Toilet Bowl Cleaner:
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cup cups baking powder
1/2 cup citric acid
1 tsp vinegar
1 tbsp hydrogen peroxide
20-30 dropoff essential oils (lemon, peppermint, your choice)

Directions:
Mix the powder and acid in a bowl.
Mix liquid ingredients in a separate bowl.
Add the two mixes slowly.
Be careful not to dump the mixes together!
Put in plastic ice cube trays and let set.
When your toilet bowl needs cleaning just drop one in!
This toilet bowl cleaner will fizz up, smell amazing and melt away the grime!
